Daniel_Brockhurst | Marathon of Britain - Race update 1

Dan Brockhurst reports in from the Marathon of Britain..

It's saturday july 31st - now 6:31(pm) - we arrived at the first basecamp just after 1 o'clock this afternoon and a familiar sight - the lovely blue tents and church at the landscape park we're in. Lots of stunning scenery to feast our eyes on over the few hours while we're getting ready to start tomorrows 16 or 17 mile stage.. Been throgh the ecg and had my doctors check which is all good, so ready to run now.. all the bags are packed and my personal belongings are stashed away and I can't get to them until the end of the race - apart from the stuff were carrying - so we're all ready to go now.
